Pengecaman fosil manusia prasejarah Gua Bewah dan tulang haiwan dilakukan bersama En. Lim Tze Tshen, penyelidik bersekutu dari Muzium Zoologi, Universiti Malaya. Pada masa ini, IPK dan Muzium Negeri Terengganu bekerjasama dalam penyelidikan genetik terhadap fosil manusia prasejarah Gua Bewah.
