A Workshop on Strengthening Long-Term Research and High Impact Publications in Social Sciences was organized by the Centre for Socioeconomic Development (CSD), Kenyir Research Institute (IPK) on 24th March 2015 (Tuesday) at 9.00 am to 4.30 pm at KT Golf Resort, Tok Jembal, Kuala Terengganu. This discussion was held to share the experience of CSD Visiting Professor, Prof. Osman bin Mohamad from Multimedia University (MMU) on the best ways to implement CSD’s long-term research projects and how to produce high impact publications in social sciences. CSD’s long-term projects for Lakeshore Community Research Program are i) Development of Greenpreneurs and ii) Development of Education – Cultural and Natural Heritage, while for the Coastal Community Research Program, projects includes i) Demographic and Socioeconomic Studies and ii) Modeling of Ecotourism.
The objective of the program was to formulate an effective strategy for the production of high-impact journal articles, disclose and disseminate strategies to build networks through the publication of articles and the use of cyberspace and reveal strategies to produce high-impact research-based publications. A total of 18 researchers and 5 staff members were involved in this workshop.
