A Seminar and Forum of Commercialization of Community Products to International Level was organized by the Centre for Socioeconomic Development (CSD), Kenyir Research Institute (IPK) to disseminate information to the community on how to commercialize their product to an international level. This program provides an opportunity for the communities to enhance their knowledge in seeking for opportunities to commercialize their products as well as to increase their income. The program includes two slots (slot seminar and slot forum).
This program was held on 13 April 2015 (Monday) from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm at Auditorium Mahyuddin, UMT. The program was officiated by Prof. Dr. Mohd Effendy Bin Abd. Wahid, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), UMT. The speaker for this seminar is Prof. Osman bin Mohamad, Visiting Professor at Centre for Socioeconomic Development (CSD) and Tuan Hj Abd. Rahman bin Abd. Majeed, Business Advisor to Ken Cosmeceutical Prima Sdn. Bhd. The forum involved various government agencies which are the Department of Agriculture in Terengganu, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Eastern Region and Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) Terengganu.
The objectives of the programs are to strengthen knowledge of local communities on how to market and commercialize products to the international level, providing the knowledge of entrepreneurship necessary to improve the quality of local products and create networks and relationships with government agencies that are involved in greenpreneur sectors.
