The Centre for Socioeconomic Development (CSD) has organized a knowledge transfer program called Psychospiritual Mind Transformation Program for Coastal Youth 2015. This program runs from 28 May 2015 until 31 December 2015 at the Islamic Center of UMT. The program is attended by young people from coastal areas of Kuala Terengganu, Attendees will receive eight psychospiritual corpus of knowledge and the program is intended to improve their career prospects. Accordingly, a briefing and first gathering with the participants of the program was held on 28 May 2015 at the Lecture Hall of the UMT Islamic Center. The event began at 10 am and end at 1 pm. The ceremony was attended by the participants of the program and their parents, researchers of UMT and UniSZA, officers of the Department of Social Welfare and member of the District Child Welfare of Kuala Terengganu. In this event, a general briefing on the program was presented by the Project Leader, Dr Sh Marzety Adibah Al Sayed Mohamad. In addition to briefings about the program, the event was also filled with group activities such as orientation and completing questionnaires for pre-data retrieval before running the actual program. At the end of the event, participants are invited to give a reflection of the activities during the event and expressed their expectations. The event ended with a presentation of the program’s theme song “Bila Diri Disayangi”(“When Yourself Being Loved”).
