On 21st May 2015, IPK organized a Mobile Lab Pre-Construction Meeting at IPK Meeting Room from 10.00 am to 11.30 am. This meeting was held to make an introductory session with KV Resources Sdn Bhd. and Brazen Composites Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. that were successful in bidding for the construction of the UMT mobile lab. The meeting also signified the approval of the company involved in accepting the UMT quotation offer. In this meeting, the KV Resources Sdn Bhd. Brazen and Composites Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. also provided information about their organization chart and their planned work that is expected to take about 18 weeks to complete. The related documents also need to be submitted to the Mobile Lab Construction Technical Committee and a date was arranged for an inspection during the construction period.
The signing session of the approval letter of the successful quotation bid for the construction of the mobile lab was held at the UMT Center for Strategic Communications, Putrajaya on 25th May 2015, from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm. The meeting and signing session of the approval letter attended by two representatives of Mobile Lab Construction Technical Committee which are Prof. Emeritus Dr. Faizah binti Mohd Sharoum (IPK Director) and Mr. Ahmad Fakhrurrazi bin Mokhtar (IPK Science Officer) and two representatives of KV Resources Sdn. Bhd. which are Datuk Md. Nasir bin Hj. Ghani (Managing Director) and Mr. Sahim Md. Taha (Project Manager) together with a representative of the Brazen Composites Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Mr Yan Neuhoff. The construction of this mobile lab is expected to be another platform and land mark for UMT in carrying out sustainable and productive research around Kenyir Lake.
