For aquatic insects sampling, method used is the sweep netting, sifting and hand collection. Among aquatic insects found are of the Order Ephemeroptera, Coleoptera, Plecoptera, Hemiptera and others. The presence of aquatic insects of the Order Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera and Plecoptera is a benchmark of good water quality of Royal Belum’s river system. However, the impact of devastating floods can be seen by the reduction in individual of aquatic insects collected, the changing of profile of the river and the changing of riverine landscape.
