A Kenyir Seminar 2015 was organized by the Kenyir Research Institute on 7th March 2015 at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Digital Learning Centre, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). The seminar was officiated by the Kenyir Research Institute Director, Professor Emeritus Dr. Faizah binti Sharoum. The purposes of this seminar was to expose the newly registered Kenyir Research Institute postgraduate students to a real scientific colloquium, to improve their master proposal, introduce new materials and methods in their study, and also to let the researchers make suggestions on proposal improvement. The renowned researchers in their niche expertise also gave talk on their current research and shared their knowledge and experiences to the students. Professor Emeritus Dr. Faizah binti Sharoum gave talk on “Opportunites for Young Researchers”, Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohd Tajuddin bin Abdullah gave a talk on “Canopy Biology Research”, Associate Professor Dr. Reuben Clements gave talks on “How to publish in High Impact Journals?” and “Experimental Design & Sampling Methods”, Dr. Wahizatul Afzan binti Azmi gave talk on “Insects as Ecological Indicators” and Dr. Faisal Ali Anwarali Khan gave talk on “Mode & Tempo of Mammalian Evolution”. Masters students including Roziah Ghazi and Grace Lee Ern Lin in their final semester also gave talks on their research . The total of presenters involved in this seminar is 19 and took 7 hours.
