On 22nd January 2015, IPK organized a workshop of Tasik Kenyir Geopark at  Tabung Haji Hotel & Convention Centre, Kuala Terengganu. The workshop was attended by researchers from within and outside the UMT and agencies such as the Department of Wildlife and National Park (PERHILITAN), State Forestry Department, Mineral and Geoscience Department of Malaysia (Terengganu), Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH), Department of Town and Country Planning of Terengganu State and MARDI.

This workshop aims to review and edit the Tasik Kenyir Geopark dossier and the presentation slides before they are presented to the executive council and subsequent tothe Terengganu Chief Minister, then proposed at the national level.
